The NYCC is here, and I’m actually sitting at a booth this year. This will be the first time I’ve ever tabled at a convention as a professional. I hope I don’t fall on my face.
It’s going to be strange for me. First, I’m finally going to meet people with whom I’ve been working for years: Tyler James, publisher of ComixTribe and my partner in the endeavor; John Lees, a client who turned into a good friend; Joe Mulvey, who really helped to put CT on the map; Cesar Feliciano, who’s done amazing art for The Red Ten; Sam Read, who gained some fame with the all-ages Find, and is now bringing his Exit Generation to the CT fold; and Alex Cormack, who’s the hot artist on our latest book Oxymoron: The Loveliest Nightmare. I’m even going to be doing script reviews there, like a live Proving Grounds.
I’m going to be at the show all four days. Come by to say hi.
ComixTribe’s booth will be booth 1924. We’ve made it out of Artist’s Alley onto the main show floor. We’re going to be right beside ABC Family, and right behind Avatar Press, and right across from Oni Press.
It’s going to be a good show.
Booth 1924. Come on down.
