I've personally gone through some upheaval this year. I'll just leave it at that. However, my comic peeps have always been there for me.
So, I'm thankful for the comic book people in my life. Some are close friends whom I've been working with for years, and some are clients.
I'm thankful for all the people who have read Bolts & Nuts and who have reached out to me afterward, and I'm thankful for all the writers who have submitted scripts to The Proving Grounds this year. I don't think I've had to go asking for scripts once this year. That's saying something for a column that's been running for just about five years.
I'm thankful for everyone who's bought a ComixTribe book. We've had some good stuff published this year, and we've got some good stuff coming down the pike.
That's what I'm thankful for this year, from a comic book perspective. It's been a good year for me professionally, and I'm looking forward to what next year will bring.
We look back so we can see where we've been, in order to put where we're going into perspective. We give thanks in acknowledgment that no matter what we've accomplished, it wasn't done alone. There is always someone there to help, and thanking those people for their contributions is always right.
I wish you all a happy and healthy Thanksgiving Day.
